How Our Pricing System Works

You set your own margins and determine what you will earn from each sale. Choose any royalty rate from 5% up to 99% and we’ll increase the product price so you earn that royalty.

Base Price + Your Royalty Percentage = Retail Price

How do you pay an Artist?

We pay royalties (think of it as a commission) for each sale that happens for your intellectual property – the art you submit. For example, in the book industry, the authors are paid a percentage of each sale. Similarly, we are bringing the same to Art industry (a fairly common practice, just new to India).

In Art, typically royalties start from 10% (recommended for new artists), but you can set it to anything from 5% to 99% as you go along and feel some of your art is more popular or valuable.

An art piece on BestOfBharat sells for anything between a humble Rs 500 to up to Rs 51,000, depending upon size, format, and framing style. If you have set it to 10%, it would mean Rs 50 to Rs 5100 for each piece sold that used your art on it.

All royalties are paid at the end of the month, between the 7th to the 10th of every month. We will send you a payout link, which will ask for your payment details and deposit your payment right away.

Do you sell Original Art piece?

No, we don’t. That’s your intellectual property. You may keep it or sell it in the ways you have been selling already (say, an Art gallery or an exhibition).

Where do I ship my physical art when an order is received?

No, you don’t. That’s your intellectual property. You may keep it or sell it in the ways you have been selling already (say, an Art gallery or an exhibition). We only sell digital reproductions of your art. You dont ship any physical goods to anyone when an order is placed.

What file-format should I submit?
You can submit lossless JPEG files. The minimum requirements are 7000 pixels on each side (length and width), 300 DPI (minimum).

Please note, the images should not include framed art (take it out of picture frame) and if it needs cropping, you need to do it on your end.

Can I click it through my Mobile?

While we have got some amazing mobile phones today and the resolution looks amazing, we have not found them compatible with the Art industry yet. We recommend a DLSR camera or a Scanner to get high-resolution pictures of your art before submitting it to us.

Of course, if that is digital art, you can submit it while adhering to the File format guidelines above.

I have submitted my art, what next?

Congratulations on your first step. The creative team will go thru it now and Accept or Reject some art.

Why do we reject?
1. Your art does not match our audience
2. It has some spelling mistakes (in case you submitted quotes or posters)
3. Promotes hate speech, extremism, or anything that we feel is objectionable.
4. Your art is in violation of the Intellectual property of others (we may take down your art even if it is published if someone else is able to claim their rights on it. We take IP seriously).
5. Generally low-quality art that doesn’t match the brand we represent.

Tips for speedy approval:
1. Add Title and Tags to each art
2. If you clicked it through a camera, ensure no area of your art is blurry

How much do I have to pay to get started?

Enrolling as an artist at BestOfBharat is completely free. We don’t charge you anything for listing your art and pay you when a sale is made. 

BestOfBharat was born to empower artists and help them to monetize their passion, and that is what we strive for.

How would I know a sale was made?

You will get an email as soon as a sale is made. Also, you can log into your dashboard to see what was sold.

What kindof art can I submit?

We accept all kinds of Art that can be rendered as Wall Art. It can be photographs, paintings, digital art, posters belonging to any genre.

I am having trouble logging in as Artist

You probably logged in as a customer. Here is how to login as artist:
1. Logout from current screen
2. Goto Sell Your Art Page
3. Click Submit your Art. You would be asked to login via Google.
If it still gives your trouble, login via an another Google ID.
